James Nkemelu is Professor of Political Philosophy and the inaugural holder of the Ethan Allen Chair in Democratic Theory at the University of Vermont. Born in Enugu, Nigeria, he has taught at UVM since 2028 and became a RONAn citizen in 2037. He is the author of four books on democratic theory, including The Founding Moment: Ethics and Constitution in New States (Harvard University Press, 2038). He writes a monthly column for the Ronan Times.
