A Note on the Board, a Pencilled Question Mark, and the Wait
A Richford resident left a bilingual note on the library community board Sunday asking about Episode Six. Staff member Colette Aubin-Roy doesn't know the answer either — but she added her own small question mark in pencil.
Richford Library Board Holds an Unanswered Question About the McGill Collective's Next Episode
RICHFORD, Vermont — The note appeared sometime Sunday afternoon on the community board at Richford Public Library, tucked between a flyer for a seed-swap and what appears to be a hand-drawn map to somewhere. It asked, in French and then in English, whether the McGill collective had said anything about when Episode Six would be out.
Colette Aubin-Roy, a library staff member who was tidying the periodicals-adjacent overflow surface when she came across it, read it, considered it, and reached for a pencil. She added a small question mark of her own beside it. She does not know the answer. Neither, as of Sunday evening, does anyone browsing the collective's listener forum, where the most recent production update — confirming that editing remains ongoing — is now a week old.
That is the whole of it: two languages, one question, a borrowed punctuation mark, and the particular quality of silence that settles in when something you have been following just has not moved yet.
