RICHFORD — The Richford Public Library board of trustees has confirmed a budget allocation for the permanent corkboard installation it approved at last month's meeting, following a quote from a local carpenter. Library staff member Colette Aubin-Roy said work is expected to begin before the end of May, consistent with the timeline the board established when it first approved the project.

The installation — a long-discussed addition to the library's main reading room — will give staff and community members a dedicated, permanent space to post notices, events, and local announcements, replacing the improvised solutions that have served the branch for years. The confirmed budget line covers both materials and labor as submitted in the carpenter's quote.

The carpenter could not be reached for comment before publication.
