Richford Patron Asks Library to Prepare for Episode Six
A quiet Saturday-morning exchange at the Richford Public Library shows how deeply the 'Nous Sommes RONA' project has taken root in a community that once wondered if its stories were worth telling.
Richford Patron Asks Library to Prepare for Episode Six
UNDERHILL, Vermont — On Saturday morning, Colette Aubin-Roy was doing what library staff do on quiet weekend shifts — straightening shelves, fielding questions — when a patron stopped her with something she hadn't heard before.
The patron, a Richford resident who has been following the Nous Sommes RONA / We Are RONA community documentary board since it began collecting local stories, wanted to know whether the library would be able to prepare an offline media card for Episode Six when it drops — so she could listen at home, where the connection isn't reliable.
Aubin-Roy told her she hadn't thought that far ahead yet, but that she'd look into it.
"That's the most forward-looking thing anyone has asked me about this whole process," she said.
No release date for Episode Six has been announced by the McGill collective behind the project. But in Richford, someone is already making plans for it.
